Nicholas Danze

Date of Ordination: 2/13/99
Current Assignment: Retired

My journey began in 1990 when Fr. George Seiter along with my Pastor Msgr. Felix O’Neil began to suggest to me the possibility of looking into the Diaconate. They generally knew that I was predisposed to it. It took almost two years of discerning and prayer for me to listen more so to what would in 1992 become my actual journey in preparation to enter into God’s service as His servant to the people of our Diocese.

God was calling me during many stages of my life including the years I was an educator at Little Flower High School and Gloucester Catholic H. S. where my call to service received its foundation. Additionally, my years of Theological formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in the late 80’s and early 90’s served to strengthen what I believed to be a strong sense to be of service to the Church that I love and wish to be its humble servant.

Our then Director Fr. Link also proved to be a guiding light to travel the difficult years leading to Ordination. His pastoral, caring guidance enable me and my brothers to not only learn the rigorous academic portion but also be guided to the performance of the liturgical duties and ministerial activities that lie ahead.
I continue to be grateful for the privilege of ordination and service.
