George Del Rossi

Date of Ordination: March 15, 1997
Current Assignment: Retired

After suffering a massive heart attack in 1982, I prayed to Jesus and Mary to be healed. The doctor told me I was near death and to notify someone of my condition. I asked for a Catholic priest and Fr. William Titmus came to see me. He told me some personal things I needed to know about my faith. After praying for a sign of improvement, or a sign of hope, my prayers were answered and I returned to the church after being away some 25 years.

I made a covenant with Jesus that if He would heal me, I would give the rest of my life to Him. I was somewhat healed and I returned to the church. I gradually entered ministry as a lector, a Eucharistic minister and then I joined the Charismatic Renewal. While these ministries were rewarding, I felt the Lord calling me to do more, so I met with my pastor and he recommended me to the diaconate program. After much prayer and discernment, I entered the diaconate program and was ordained on March 15, 1997.

My commitment to Jesus and to serve His people is truly rewarding and a joy in my life.
