A. Kenneth Bandiera

Date of Ordination: 10/05/1981
Current Assignment: Outside Diocese

My journey to the Diaconate started in 1978. I attended classes at St Pius X retreat center every Tuesday and Thursday for two years, with my wife by my side, until ordination. I was supposed to be ordained in 1980, but had to wait until 1981 because I was only 33, which at that time was too young. I continued with classes thru 1981 when I was ordained, and then assigned to St. Lawrence Parish in Lindenwold. In 1987, I transferred to Holy Child Parish in Runnemede, where I am currently serving.

My journey was filled with many joyous occasions as well as difficult ones. God blessed us with two children, a son in 1981 and a daughter in 1983. Watching them grow and experiencing them receiving all their sacraments was a very special time in my life. Sadly, in 2012, my son died at the age of 30, and is now at peace with God. This was a very difficult time for our family, but with the grace of God, our family made it thru. Since then, I have been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren.

Throughout my journey, my faith in God and being able to serve him has seen me through everything.
